The players pick a color of the Gemji tiles to play with (black side or white side) and split the tiles evenly between each other. Each player shuffles their opponent's tiles, with the correct color side facing up, on a flat surface. Both white and black tiles have to be freely mixed.
The players set a stopwatch and begin simultaneously stacking their own tiles in an ascending (1 to 4) or descending (4 to 1) order. After one player collects all of their tiles, the stopwatch continues to count the time until the second player finishes. Then the stopwatch is stopped.
Every three seconds after the first player has finished, the second player receives a penalty point. If a player has collected their tiles in the wrong order, they also earn a penalty point.
The winning player is the one who collects their tiles in the correct order the fastest, or the one with fewer penalty points.
• Construct a pile of three blank tiles to help you easily pick up and stack your tiles.
• For a greater challenge, the order for collecting the tiles can be changed. Example: 3 - 4 - 1 - 2
