Objective: Construct a vertical wheel using exactly 7 tiles that can spin rapidly on its axis when triggered by a single press.
1. The Build
- Inventory: Use exactly 7 GEMJI tiles (the Mini Set).
- Orientation: The wheel must spin vertically (like a bicycle wheel or a Ferris wheel).
Horizontal spinning (like a top or a coin) is not permitted.
2. The Interaction
- The "Press" Rule: You must initiate the spin by pressing down on the edge of the shape.
- Forbidden Moves: You may not "flick," "roll," or "push" the wheel to start it.
3. Success Criteria
To complete the challenge, your wheel must meet two requirements:
- Stability: The wheel must stay on its original axis.
- Momentum: Once pressed, the wheel must complete at least two full revolutions (720° or more).
Multiplayer Mode (3+ players)
The Roles
- The Builder: Must assemble the wheel as fast as possible.
- The Timer: Keeps their back turned (or eyes closed) to ensure they don't see the Builder's secret design.
- The Referee: The only person watching the Builder. They validate the mechanics and the spin.
How it Works
- The Signal: The Referee shouts “Start!” and begins the timer (or signals the Timer to start).
- The Validation: Once the Builder is ready, they perform the press. The Referee must confirm:
- Was it a Press (not a flick)?
- Did it complete 2+ revolutions?
- Did it stay on its Axis?
- The Result:
- Success: The Referee shouts “GEMJI!” and the Timer records the final time.
- Fail: The Referee shouts, “Keep going!” and the clock continues until a successful spin is achieved.
- The Clean-up: The Referee ensures the tiles are scrambled before the Timer is allowed to turn around and take their turn as the next Builder.
