Build a W-shaped gate with the Target (two tiles in a L shape) behind it. Take turns shooting the "Bullet" tile through the gate, aiming to stick it to the Target. Situate the Bullet and the Target one span away from the Gate. If the Bullet hits the Target but doesn’t stick, shoot again. If the Bullet disassembles or destroys the gate, skip a turn. If the Bullet gets stuck in the gate, detach it and pass it to the next player.
Winner
The first to hit the target 3 times wins.
Tips
Ensure the W-shaped gate is tall enough - see the circle hint in the diagram.
The "bullet" tile usually slides better when turned on it's black side (the shagreen texture has less friction).
If playing solo - try scoring 3 successful shots from 30/20/10 attempts, progressing to a greater level of difficulty.
If you are playing on a bar surface or a table - you may want to secure the space behind the Target by putting your hands - this will save time for "reloading" the Bullet and also will prevent your GEMJI tiles from scratching on the floor.
Try the original GEMJI Gate game with the Original Set (70 tiles) - it's a game for two where you need similar skills, but some strategy is involved.
Unlike many other GEMJI games, this one is unsuitable for visually impaired players.
